About Course
The course “Occupational Health & Safety” introduces participants to the principles of occupational risk prevention and to the development of a strong safety culture in industrial and technical environments.
The aim of the course is to help participants understand the risks, obligations and protective practices that apply in the workplace, with particular emphasis on the production, storage and use of paints, coatings and construction materials.
Through examples, analyses and real-life scenarios, trainees will understand:

What occupational risk, workplace accidents and occupational diseases are,

What the consequences are for employees, businesses and society,

What the legal framework is and what obligations apply to employers and employees,

Which are the most important chemical, physical, ergonomic and electrical hazards, and how they can be prevented,

How Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) should be used correctly,
-
What emergency procedures and technical fire safety measures are required,
-

The course content includes thematic units on:

Chemical hazards and CLP legislation,

Working at height and musculoskeletal strain,

Electricity and fire safety,
-
Specific Occupational Health & Safety topics such as noise, vibration, thermal stress, ergonomics, psychosocial factors and emergency procedures,

As well as a specialised chapter on Health & Safety in Paints, Coatings and Construction Materials, covering issues such as VOC inhalation, storage, transportation, PPE use and hazardous substances.
The course is based on the current requirements of European and Greek legislation, combining theory, examples, videos, NAPO material and practical tools for professionals working in the sector.
