These questions, along with many others, are answered in the first book ever written in Greek on Paint Technology. The vision of the authoring team is to develop and promote scientific knowledge and technically documented practices across all stages of paint production, distribution, preparation, application and quality control. The authors’ goal is for this book to become a point of reference for the paint industry.
The book is divided into 10 sections. The first three sections trace the history of paint from prehistoric times to the present day, present the international terminology related to paint and colour, and analyse paint composition, production methods and quality control. he following sections are dedicated to the main substrates to be painted — building, wooden and metal surfaces — their preparation and the application of paints. The final sections focus on quality, failures and occupational safety.
