Maria Alexiou from CSR & TITAN gave a speech on sustainable construction, where she highlighted the need for a change in the current industrial revolution model that is based on mass production and consumption. The importance of having common sustainability rules applicable to all countries has been a global topic since 1987, with the increasing importance of globalization. The UN’s sustainable development goals are crucial as they are applicable globally, and a question arises as to whether a global economy can exist without common rules. It is stressed that Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is merely an attempt to bring about change.
